Caption
The Code of Governmental Ethics does not prohibit Mandeville City Council Member Jill Lane's company, 347 Girod LLC, from receiving donations from persons doing business with the City of Mandeville; however, it does prohibit her company from receiving compensation for services rendered to such persons and from accepting gifts from such persons if Jill Lane receives compensation from her company.

The <br /> Company currently exists as a limited liability company, but you are considering converting the <br /> Company into a non-profit entity. As a non-profit, the Company would continue to operate the <br /> theatre. Whether you would receive a salary from the Company after it becomes a non-profit entity <br /> has not been determined. <br /> You would like to know, after the Company exists as a non-profit entity, if the Company could <br /> receive spons,�rships or donations from persons or businesses that contract with the City, and <br /> whether your receipt of compensation from the Company would affect that ability to receive <br /> spo lsorships or donations. <br /> LAW <br /> La.
