Box 94396 <br /> Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70804 <br /> Re: Docket No. 2025-267 <br /> Disqualification Plan <br /> Dear Mr. Canfield: <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics, at its meeting on July 3, 2025, considered your proposed <br /> disqualification plan submitted on behalf of the Louisiana Department of Energy and Natural <br /> Resources (DENR) Office of Management and Finance (OMF) employees Valerie Campbell and <br /> Kayla Williams. <br /> FACTS <br /> Ms. Campbell is the mother of Ms. Williams. Ms. Williams was hired as an accountant 3 and <br /> assigned to the same division as her mother, OMF Accounts payable. Neither one supervises the <br /> other. Ms. Campbell is an Accountant 4 and has been employed since February 14, 2022. Ms. <br /> Williams is a recent hire. Ms. Williams was hired as an accountant 3, on April 14, 2025. <br /> PROPOSED DISQUALIFICATION PLAN <br /> In compliance with La. R.S. 42:1112C and The Louisiana Administrative Code (LAC) 52: <br /> I.1403 to avoid conflicts of interest the following measures were instituted. <br /> 1) Ms. Campbell will recuse herself from training Ms. Williams.Ms. Campbell's training will <br /> be overseen by their immediate supervisor. <br /> 2) Ms. Campbell and Ms. Williams will not assign work to each other or review or approve <br /> each other's work. The assignment and review of Ms. Campbell's work will be will be <br /> overseen by their immediate supervisor. <br /> 3) Ms. Campbell and Ms. Williams will not be involved in each other's performance <br /> evaluations. <br /> AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER <br />
