Bernard <br /> Director, Human Resources Department <br /> St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office <br /> 400 St. Martin Street <br /> Post Office Box 247 <br /> St. Martinville, Louisiana 70582 <br /> Re: Docket No. 2025-683 (1) <br /> Disqualification Plan <br /> Dear Ms. Bernard: <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics ("Board"), at its meeting on December 5, 2025, considered your <br /> request for approval of a proposed disqualification plan submitted on behalf of St. Martin Parish <br /> Sheriff's Office employees, Major Terry Guidry and his daughter, Kloe Guidry. <br /> FACTS PROVIDED <br /> Kloe Guidry has been a part-time employee of the St. Martin Parish Sherift's Office ("Sheriff s <br /> Office") since August 2024 and serves as the Clerical Assistant for the Enforcement Division. Her <br /> father, Major Terry Guidry, has been employed with the Sheriffls Office since November 1997 <br /> and serves as the Commander of the Support Services Division. <br /> Given their cui�•ent positions in separate divisions, it is unlikely that the parties will be required to <br /> work together. However, to avoid any potential violation of La. R.S. 42:ll 12, the Sheriff s Office <br /> submits the following proposed disqualification plan far the Board's approval. <br /> PROPOSED DISQUALIFICATION PLAN <br /> Tei-�y Guidry shall be disqualified and excluded from any and all duties, decisions, and/or <br /> approvals required by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff s Office that affect the employment and/or <br /> salaiy of his daughter, Kloe Guidry. <br /> Terry Guidry's chain of command is as follows: Chief Deputy, Sheriff. <br /> Kloe Guidry's chain of command is as follows: Executive Officer, Enforcement Division <br /> Commander/Lieutenant, Enforcement Division Commander/Major, and Chief Deputy, ultimately <br /> leading to the Sheriff. <br /> The duties, decisions, and/or approvals of all matters pertaining to the employment of both parties <br /> will flow up the above-listed chain of command directly to the Sheriff or an individual appointed <br /> by the Sheriff to make such decisions. <br /> Page 1 of 2 (BD 202�-683) <br /> AN EQUAL OPPORTUN/TY EMPLOYER <br />
