(the"Company").The Company is in the business <br /> c '1'sel.ling automotive and general supplies. <br /> I-IPi:) is considering rehiring Mr. Stephenson. The Town would like to know if it can purchase <br /> goods from th,,- Company while Mr. Stephenson owns the Company and is concurrently employed. <br /> by 111317. ILS. 42:111.3A states no public servant, or a member of such a public servant's immediate <br /> fr.rnily,or a le77al entity in which he has a controlling interest shall bid on or enter into any contract, <br /> subc,ontract or other transaction that is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of such <br /> public servant. <br /> Lat. R.S. 4.2:1117 provides that no public servant or other person shall give, pay, loan,transfer, or <br /> dcliver or oi:fer to give, pay, loan, transfer, or deliver, directly or indirectly, to any public servant <br /> or „ther perso ri any thing of economic value which such public servant or other person would be <br /> prolibited ro-n receiving by any provision of the Code of Governmental Ethics. <br /> Lot.
