Syllabus. In the event you receive compensation or donations for the services, R.S. <br /> 42:1111(C)(1)(a) will not prohibit you from receiving compensation for any services, provided <br /> that those services are not devoted substantially to the operations, programs, and responsibilities <br /> of your agency, and are services in which you did not participate. Finally, R.S. 42:1115 will not <br /> prohibit your receipt of donations,provided that the source of the donation does not fall within one <br /> of the categories of prohibited sources. <br /> This advisory opinion is based solely on the facts as set forth herein. Changes to the facts as <br /> presented may result in a different application of the provisions of the Code of Governmental <br /> Ethics.
