You <br /> stated that you are engaged to Bailey Romero. Bailey Romero is also a patrolman with the <br /> Youngsville Police Department. You stated that you and Mr. Romero work opposite rotations and <br /> not on the same shift. However, you and Mr. Romero do work the same overtime and security <br /> detail shifts. You also stated that you may run the service calls if both of you are on duty at the <br /> same time. <br /> LAw <br /> La. R.S. 42:1112B(1) states that no public servant shall participate in a transaction involving the <br /> governmental entity in which, to his actual knowledge, any member of his immediate family has <br /> a substantial economic interest. <br /> La. R.S. 42:1119A states that no member of the immediate family of an agency head shall be <br /> employed in his agency. <br /> La. R.S. 42:1102(2)(a)(vi) defines "agency" for public servants of political subdivisions to mean <br /> the department, office, division, agency, commission, board, committee, or other organizational <br /> unit of a governmental entity in which the public servant serves. <br /> La.
