Ethics Board Docket No. 2022-454 <br /> Page 2 of 8 <br /> IL <br /> JURISDICTION: <br /> 1. <br /> The BOE is an agency of the State of Louisiana domiciled in East Baton Rouge Parish, <br /> Louisiana. <br /> 2. <br /> The BOE is authorized to offer a Consent Opinion to Rebecca Stephenson by virtue of <br /> Section 1141C(3)(f) of the Ethics Code. <br /> III. <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT: <br /> 1. <br /> Rebecca Stephenson ("Ms. Stephenson") was employed by the Pointe Coupee Parish <br /> School Board ("School Board") from May 16, 2016, until October 14, 2022. She was hired as a <br /> professional development ("PD") coach by Superintendent Kevin Lemoine. On August 1, 2018, <br /> Superintendent Lemoine promoted Ms. Stephenson to Director of Accountability and <br /> Technology services. Ms. Stephenson resigned on October 14, 2022. <br /> 2. <br /> Teaching Lab, located in Washington, D.C., registered with the Louisiana Secretary of <br /> State as a non-Louisiana non-profit corporation on June 9, 2020. Teaching Lab works with <br /> schools, districts, and state leaders to create instructional learning models to support students. <br />
