Ethics Board Docket No. 2023-345 <br /> Page 2 of 7 <br /> II. <br /> JURISDICTION: <br /> 1. <br /> The BOE is an agency of the State of Louisiana domiciled in East Baton Rouge Parish, <br /> Louisiana. <br /> 2. <br /> The BOE is authorized to offer a Consent Opinion to Derick Graves by virtue of Section <br /> 1141 C(3)(f) of the Ethics Code. <br /> III. <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT: <br /> 1. <br /> Derick Graves("Mr. Graves")was hired by the Tangipahoa Parish School Board("TPSB") <br /> in 1996 as a Contract Bus Driver in the Transportation Department. Mr. Graves retired on October <br /> 15, 2022. <br /> 2. <br /> Mr. Graves is the owner of Northshore Fleet Services LLC ("Northshore"), a limited <br /> liability company registered to do business with the state that offers bus washing/detailing services <br /> and mobile service repairs. <br /> 3. <br /> Northshore has contracted with TPSB Transportation Department for several years, at least <br /> as since June 2019. Northshore was paid the following amounts by TPSB for bus services: <br /> 2020: $183,089.51 <br />
