CONCLUSION <br /> The Board concluded and instructed ine to infonn you that the Code does not prohibit your <br /> continued service as a board meinber for SMILE while you are einployed as a staff attorney with <br /> the LHC. The Code also does not prohibit you from participating in matters involving LHC in <br /> which SMILE has a substantial economic interest, provided you do not receive compensation for <br /> yolu service on the SMILE Board. Additionally, in the event SMILE board inembers are <br /> compensated for their service, you should seek an updated advisory opinion. <br /> Changes to the facts as presented may result in a different application of the provisions of the <br /> Louisiaiia Code of Governmental Ethics.
