Caption
The Code of Ethics prohibits an employee of the Port of New Orleans and the enployee's company from rendering services to a vendor of the Port of New Orleans; and, from assisting a person within two years from the termination of the employee's employment for compensation in a transaction, or in an appearance in connection with a transaction, involving the Port of New Orleans in which the employee participated in while employed with the Port of New Orleans.

CONCLUSION <br /> The Board concluded and instructed me to infonn you that the Code prohibits you and your <br /> company froin providing compensated IT services through a private contract with Spears Global <br /> since it has a contractual relationship with your agency, the Port. Also, the post-employment <br /> restrictions contained in the Code, as explained in the above paragraphs, apply to you and your <br /> company for two years following the date you retire from your public employment with the Port. <br /> This advisory opinion is based solely on the facts as set forth herein. Changes to the facts as <br /> presented may result in a different application of the provisions of the Code of Governmental <br /> Ethics.
