A consent opinion that Innolyzer LLC violated La. R.S. 42:1111C(2)(d) by its receipt of compensation for services rendered to Innolyzer Labs, L.L.C. while Innolyzer Labs, L.L.C. had or was seeking to have contractual, financial or business relationships with LSU Health Shreveport, and that Innolyzer Labs, L.L.C. violated La. R.S. 42:1117 by providing compensation to Innolyzer LLC, which it was prohibited from receiving by La. R.S. 42:1111C(2)(d).

A consent opinion that Dupre-Carrier-Godchaux Agency, Inc. violated La. R.S. 42:1113A(1)(a) by virtue of entering into transactions with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office while Willie Godchaux, the immediate family member of St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz, had a controlling interest in Dupre-Carrier-Godchaux Agency, Inc.

A consent opinion that Dr. Gerald Gerdes, in his capacity as a member of the Louisiana State Board of Optometry Examiners, violated La. R.S. 42:1111C(2)(d) by virtue of his receipt of compensation for services rendered to Optometry Association of Louisiana while it had or was seeking to have contractual, financial or business relationships with the Louisiana State Board of Optometry Examiners.

A consent opinion that Derick Graves d/b/a Northshore Fleet Services, LLC violated La. R.S. 42:1113A(1)(a) by virtue of entering into transactions with the Tangipahoa Parish School Board Transportation Department to perform school bus services while employed in the Tangipahoa Parish School Board Transportation Department.

A consent opinion that David Spano d/b/a Dave’s Full Service Automotive, Inc. violated La. R.S. 42:1113A(1)(a) by virtue of entering into transactions with the Tangipahoa Parish School Board Transportation Department to perform school bus services while employed in the Tangipahoa Parish School Board Transportation Department.

A consent opinion that Francis Breaux, as an appointed member of the Lafourche Parish Sewerage District No. 7, violated La. R.S. 42:1113B by entering into transactions with the Sewerage District to perform compensated grass-cutting services, and that Priscilla Breaux, as an appointed member of the Lafourche Parish Sewerage District No. 7, violated La. R.S. 42:1112B(1) by approving and signing seven Sewerage District checks issued to her husband, Francis Breaux.

The Code of Governmental Ethics does not prohibit Nadia Jenkins from being employed by the Eighteenth Judicial District Attorney's Office while also serving as a member of the Iberville Parish Council, but it does prohibit Ms. Jenkins, in her capacity as an Iberville Parish Council Member, from participating in matters in which she has a substantial economic interest.

A consent opinion that GEO Foundation violated La. R.S. 42:1117 by paying Linda Johnson for services she rendered to GEO Foundation while she was an appointed member of the GEO Academics EBR Board of Directors and while GEO Foundation had a contractual, business, and financial relationship with GEO Academies EBR, which violated La. R.S. 42: 1111C(2)(d).

A consent opinion that Robert McGarner, a former appointed member of the GEO Academies EBR Charter School Board, violated La. R.S. 42:1121A by virtue of his receipt of compensation to assist GEO Foundation with its contractual obligations with GEO Academies EBR within two years of the termination of his service on the GEO Academies EBR Charter School Board of Directors.

A consent opinion that GEO Foundation violated La. R.S. 42:1117 by paying Robert McGarner, a former appointed member of the GEO Academies EBR Charter School Board, for his employment and assistance of GEO Foundation with its contractual obligations with GEO Academies EBR within two years of the termination of his service on the GEO Academies EBR Charter School Board, which violated La. R.S. 42:1121A.

A consent opinion that Darrin Dixon, a former member of the Caddo Parish School Board, violated La. R.S. 42:1121A(2) by virtue of his appointment by the Caddo Parish School Board to a position on the Caddo Parish School Board within two years of the termination of his public service on the Caddo Parish School Board.

The Code of Governmental Ethics permits certain private entities, of which Chauna Banks is a board member, to enter into transactions with the City of Baton Rouge/Parish of East Baton Rouge while she serves as an elected member of the East Baton Rouge Metropolitan Council, and she is also permitted to participate as a member of the Metro Council in transactions involving those entities as long as she receives no compensation from those entities.

The Code of Governmental Ethics prohibits Corey Bardwell from providing services to Line Tec on projects under the supervision or jurisdiction of his father’s agency, the City of Alexandria’s Light Division, and he is required to file annual financial disclosure reports with the Ethics Board if he receives compensation from Line Tec while it has business under the supervision or jurisdiction of his father’s agency.

The Code of Governmental Ethics does not prohibit Latatia Johnson’s husband, Terrance Johnson, and his company from soliciting and conducting business with her employer, the Ascension Parish School Board (APSB), to provide detailing services for APSB’s maintenance vehicles as long as the transaction is not under the supervision or jurisdiction of her agency, the APSB Special Education Department.

The Code of Governmental Ethics would not prohibit Amanda Fontenot Johnson's continued employment with the Lake Charles Transit Department if she is elected to the Lake Charles City Council.

The Code of Governmental Ethics does not prohibit Jessica Bertinot, a Terrebonne Parish employee in the Headstart Program, from enrolling her child in the Headstart Program, provided such services are available to all individuals in the Parish on the same terms and conditions.

The Code of Governmental Ethics does not prohibit Terrebonne Parish employees in the Department of Planning and Zoning from accepting promotional tumbler cups from ARES Construction.

The Code of Governmental Ethics does not prohibit Bruce Fitzgerald from performing video deposition services outside of the 21st Judicial District Court for private attorneys while retaining his employment as the IT Director for the 21st JDC.

The Code of Governmental Ethics does not prohibit Tommy Cvitanovich and Drago’s Seafood Restaurant from providing compensated food services to visiting NFL teams after games at the Superdome since the visiting NFL teams do not have a contractual or business relationship with the Louisiana Stadium & Exposition District.
