Ms. Dayton is an elected member of the Monroe City School Board. Patrick Campbell is employed as the Northeast Louisiana Area Sales Representative for Jackson Paper Company, Inc. and maintains no ownership interest in the company. Jackson Paper Company has done business with the Monroe City School System in the past. Ms. Dayton has since notified staff through email that she would like to withdraw this request as neither Mr. Campbell nor Jackson Paper Company want to submit bids to the Monroe City School System.

La. R.S. 42:1113A provides that no public servant, excluding any legislator and any appointed member of any board or commission and any member of a governing authority of a parish with a population of ten thousand or less, or member of such a public servant's immediate family, or legal entity in which he has a controlling interest shall bid on or enter into any contract, subcontract, or other transaction that is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of such public servant.
