Waiver request submitted by Robert Lawrence Thomas, former member of the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority / West, regarding a $1500 late fee assessed for filing both his amended 2017 and 2018 Tier 2.1 annual PFDs 157 days late. |
|
Robert L. Thomas is requesting a waiver for the late filing of his 2017 and 2018 PFD Statements for the following reasons:
Mr. Thomas stated when he filed his 2017 and 2018 PFDs he "was erroneously under the impression that a Parish School Board had no relationship with the State of Louisiana." He has since been advised that this is not the case and has filed the required amendments for both his disclosures. Mr. Thomas asks the Ethics Board to please consider his waiver request as his "errors were unintentional and not an attempt to circumvent the Rules and Laws of the Louisiana Board of Ethics." He thanks the Ethics Board in advance for their consideration on this matter.
