Waiver request submitted by Christine Bailey, former member of the Shreveport Downtown Development Authority, regarding a $1500 late fee assessed for filing her 2018 Tier 2.1 annual pfd 372 days late. |
|
Christine Bailey is requesting a waiver request for the following reasons:
Mrs. Bailey stated she sent an email back in August 2020, but did not receive a response, so she assumed the matter was settled. She stated she filed the Tier 2.1 disclosure, but did not keep a copy of the disclosure. She truly did not intend to do anything wrong and stated she got confused with the system, as she does not know a lot about governmental operations. She "guessed she thought the most important item was the Ethics Training Course". She believed she was doing her civic duty by volunteering on the board and working to improve downtown Shreveport. Mrs. Bailey stated that her business has suffered greatly since the Covid-19 Pandemic and she will probably have to close.
