Ms. Stewart states that she represented the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) until this client terminated her contract effective May 30, 2021. RIAA was handling all filings of her reports and neither of them understood there was a last step in terminating her registration in Louisiana, which caused her to miss the deadline. She stated that she lives and works in South Carolina and has not been to Louisiana on behalf of RIAA, or for any other reason, since her contract began. She states she did not lobby in Louisiana in the spring, including the reporting period in her last report.
