Lakeesha Harris, Chairperson, Steffani Bangel, Secretary, and Angela Adkins, Treasurer, submitted this waiver and states the following:
They uploaded the 40-G report on 12/14/20 via the campaign finance upload page on the Ethics website. This was their first time working on an election under LA CFDA and they were not aware that they needed to file electronically. They had previously filed several reports beginning in October 2020 by uploading them to the Ethics website. The email and the attached documents show they submitted their 40-E by the 12/14/20 deadline and when they were made aware that they needed to use LEADERS to file the report they refiled the report before 1/14/21 as instructed.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty for each day until such report is filed.

Suspend all but $500 based on future compliance. The $500 is payable within 20 days and if payment is not received within 20 days, the full amount of the late fee becomes due and owing.
