RE:
Request that the Board waive the $800 campaign finance late fee assessed against Stephanie Bridges, an unsuccessful candidate for Judge, Criminal District Court, Section K, Orleans Parish, in the November 3, 2020 election, whose 40-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 8 days late.
Facts:
Stephanie Bridges request a waiver and states the following:

She has exercised due diligence in the filing of her reports prior to the 40-G report. After the 11/3 election, an onslaught of difficulties beset her family. Specifically, her youngest son underwent emergency surgery and his sibling contracted Covid 19. Due to her family circumstances, she asked her campaign manager to complete and file the report. Until she received a call from Ethics, she did not know that the report was not filed. The on-going health issues facing her family and financial strain of the campaign present financial hardships that will be exacerbated by this fee.
