Request that the Board waive a $1,000 campaign finance late fee assessed against Marie Williams, an unsuccessful candidate for Judge, Juvenile Court, Section A, Orleans Parish and her committee's chairperson, Betty Williams, and treasurer, Armin Williams, in the November 3, 2020 election, whose 10-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 13 days late.
Facts:
Marie Williams requests a waiver and states the following:
She has been running for office since 2010 and she has never won because she has never had the money her opponents had to win. She used the money she saved from money given to her by her boyfriends. She is disabled and has tried to keep this from the public because they won't elect a disabled person and her health has gotten worse. She wanted to help the community and not just collect social security.
