Mr. Shane Gray, report preparer for the PAC, requests a waiver and states the following:
The report was filed late due to their office being without power and closed due to Hurricane Ida. When he was able to set up a temporary office offsite, he promptly filed the report. He states he has had the responsibility of filing the Monthly reports since 2007. Due to their history of submitting the monthly reports timely and the impacts from Hurricane Ida in their area, he asks that the Board please waive, suspend or reduce any late fee assessed in regards to this report.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty for each day until such report is filed.
LAC 52:1205B(3) states that if, during the 14 days prior to the report being due, a natural disaster prevented the filer from making the report, the fine shall be rescinded.
