RE:
Request that the Board waive the $600 campaign finance late fee assessed against Jason Lee Fowler, Jr., a candidate for State Representative, 18th Representative District in the February 23, 2019 election, whose 30-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 20 days late.
Facts:
Jason Lee Fowler, Jr requests a waiver and states the following:
He states that his waiver is untimely because he was not living at the address the letters were sent. The address was his grandfather's house. He recently picked up all of his mail from his grandfather's house and found the campaign finance letters. He called the Ethics office to meet with staff to make things right. He is recently unemployed and has several other tickets and fines, also he owes his mom money. He has learned a lot through this process.
