Request that the Board waive the $600, $420 and $540 campaign finance late fees assessed against Aldine Lockett, unsuccessful candidate for Member of School Board, District 2, Orleans Parish, in the November 3, 2020, whose 30-P, 10-P and 10-G campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 17, 7 and 9 days late, respectively. |
|
Aldine Lockett requests a waiver and states the following:
He felt passionate that the students and citizens of New Orleans deserved an experienced and highly credential advocate to work tirelessly within the school board to ensure that all students received a fair and equitable education.
He ran independently with no funds. He is unjustly being fined for not reporting campaign finances in a timely manner. He filled out the forms online at one time because he had no funds. He truly thought that the reports were filed all at once when he was in the hospital with his wife.
