Request that the Board waive two (2) $3,000, totaling $6,000 campaign finance late fees assessed against Citizens for a Better Caddo, Inc., a political action committee, its committee's chairperson, Edward J. Crawford, III, and treasurer, Robert Dean, whose 2017 and 2018 Annual campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 587 and 222 days late, respectively. |
|
Robert L. Dean, treasurer for PAC, states the following:
John Schmidt, previous partner with our firm, was the treasurer for the Campaign during the time the reports were due; however, he left our firm abruptly and we were not aware these reports were not filed until after the due dates. Once they realized the reports had not been filed, they completed and filed the reports with the Ethics Board immediately. He is the current treasurer and has filed the 2019 and 2020 reports timely and will continue to ensure future reports are filed by their due dates.
