Request that the Board waive a $2,500 campaign finance late fee assessed against Jared Brossett, an unsuccessful candidate for Council Member at Large, Division 2, Orleans Parish, in the November 13, 2021 election, whose 180-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 100 days late. |
|
Jared Brossett requests a waiver and states the following:
During the period covered by the 90-P report, his campaign began to engage in activities in connection with the City Council At-Large, Division 2 office, and due to that activity of a major office, correctly filed the 90-P report on time on July 12, 2021. Since the time that the 180-P report was due, he had not decided to run, and had not yet qualified for the Council Member at Large seat, he believes he was not required to and correctly did not file the 180-P report.
