The Committee, established by the Sabine Parish Police Jury (the "Police Jury"), sets policies governing pre-hospital emergency medical services and dispatch and identifies needs for ambulance service and coverage for Sabine Parish. The Committee is comprised of Sabine Parish voters appointed by the Police Jury.
The Police Jury recently appointed to the Committee a member who is a representative of a local hospital, Sabine Medical Center (the "Center"). The Center is a privately owned, for-profit hospital.
