Mack Cormier requests a waiver and states the following:
As you are aware, the situation involving this election was unique. Congressman Troy Carter was elected on April 24th, the election for his Senate Dist. 7 race was set about a week and a half later, to take place in one month. All of this took place at the height of, and most critical point in our session, making it quite difficult for a candidate to juggle setting up, and running a campaign and continuing to serve as a legislator. He is also proud to say he was not absent for any days as a legislator and missed no votes during that extremely busy and hectic time for himself, and his campaign. He also handled all reporting duties himself. He has since hired someone to handle his reporting.
