Crochet, M.Ed., regarding whether the Louisiana Code of Governmental Ethics ("Code") would prohibit her from running for and being elected to a seat on the City of Thibodaux Council (Pop. 14,566) while remaining the Executive Director of External Affairs at Nicholls State University ("NSU"). |

Dr. Crochet is a currently the Executive Director of External Affairs at NSU. As the Executive Director of External Affairs, she is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships between Nicholls State University and the broader Nicholls community; working collaboratively with the development personnel; and, directing university efforts that encompass major gifts, donor stewardship, development of public support groups, fundraising event coordination, corporate relations and goodwill between the Alumni Federation, Nicholls State University Foundation and NSU. She intends to qualify and run for City of Thibodaux Council - District A in the November 8, 2022 election. She has requested and is awaiting an advisory opinion from the Louisiana Department of Justice - Office of the Attorney General on whether her election to the Thibodaux City Council is prohibited by Dual Office Holding Laws.
