Waiver request states the following:
With respect to October 2020 filing, this filing was due shortly after Hurricane Zeta made landfall in southern LA, and their office was preoccupied with monitoring the hurricane and keeping employees safe.
With respect to November 2021 filing, this late filing was due to staffing shortages, as several key employees have recently departed, and the employees that were responsible were out of town or working events for the committee.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty for each day until such report is filed.
LAC 52:1205B(3) states that if, during the 14 days prior to the report being due, a natural disaster occurred preventing the report from being timely filed, the fine shall be rescinded.
