RE:
Request that the Board waive the $200 campaign finance late fees assessed against St. Tammany DPEC PAC, a political action committee, its committee's chairperson, Gayle Green and treasurer, Marie Wade, whose 2021 October Monthly campaign finance report was filed 1 day late.
Facts:

Marie Wade, treasurer and report preparer for PAC, requests a waiver and states the following:

The St Tammany DPEC hosted its now annual fundraising Gala on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 6pm to 9pm. She worked a full day on Monday, the 8th after a long, tiresome Gala night and cleanup of the venue. She could not physically do anything or mentally think well enough to properly produce the monthly report. On Tuesday, the 9th after a full day at work, rushed to catch a flight out to Nashville, TN to testify on Wednesday for a custody case regarding her grandson. She brought her laptop thinking she would have time to do the report, but did not. All would have been well but her first flight was delayed, then in Dallas, a mechanical delay and yet another delay for a little more than an hour because of bad weather. She did not land back in New Orleans until after midnight. At this point she was mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausted. She was able to complete and submit report on November 11th.
