Request that the Board waive the $60 campaign finance late fee assessed against Emily Merckle, a successful candidate for City Court Judge Election, Dist. 1, Div. A, City of Shreveport in the November 3, 2020, whose 2022 Supplemental campaign finance disclosure report was filed 1 day late.
Facts:


Emily Merckle requests a waiver and states the following:

She was unaware that her address was not correct or updated with the Board's records. After she took office, she closed this campaign post office box and left a forwarding address to her home. After speaking with a colleague on February 16, 2022, she realized that she had not received the letter indicating that she needed to file the campaign Supplemental Report by February 15, 2022. After realizing she was late, she immediately filed the report. She has updated her address.
