Request that the Board waive the $2,500 campaign finance late fee assessed against Tanner Magee, an unsuccessful candidate for Judge, Court of Appeal, 1st Circuit, 1st Dist., Division D, in the November 8, 2022 election, whose 180-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 103 days late. |
|
Tanner Magee and Norbert Chabert, chairperson for candidate, request a waiver and states the following: Norbert Chabert and Tanner Magee were made aware on 09/07/22 that a Late Fee Assessment Order was issued. Both Chabert and Magee thought reporting for the judge's race would be from 07/14/22 forward, since that's when the committee began. They were then advised to file a 180-P to cover time period 01/01/22-05/02/22, and given that a decision had not been made to run for judge,an "undecided" designation would be appropriate for the "Office Sought" field of the report.
