Waiver request submitted by Phillip Michael Cavins, Mayor / Turkey Creek (Pop. 394) / Evangeline Parish, regarding a $500 late fee assessed for filing his 2019 Tier 3 annual pfd 311 days late. |
|
Mayor Cavins stated that when Covid started, his office and personal business was overwhelming and time consuming. He states that almost every employee had Covid, and he had to pick up the slack. He assumes that in the chaos he forgot to file. He states he and his wife are going through a divorce, and he only has one income, so money is tight. He states that he sold land and his tractor to cut down on monthly expenses. He is asking for a reduction or, if that is not possible, a payment plan of$100 a month.
