RE:
Waiver request submitted by Gaynell C. Young, candidate for the Zachary Community School Board in the November 8, 2022 election, regarding a $500 late fee assessed for filing her 2021 Tier 3 candidate pfd 37 days late.
Facts:
Gaynell Young states that as the incumbent to the office that she qualified for re-election, the Tier 2.1 disclosure statement was required to be filed 5/15/2022 which was met. Ms. Young holds office as an appointee to the Hospital Service District 1 Lane Regional Medical Center and the incumbent on the Zachary Community School Board. She was required to file the Tier 2.1 disclosure which covers the Tier 3 reporting requirements. Both disclosures required identical information. It was not clear that another disclosure was required even though the annual requirement for filing a disclosure was on file. Ms. Young respectfully asks that the late fee be waived and appreciates your consideration.
