Paul S. Kent stated after receiving his SBD NOD-FF letter he checked his records and realized he had not successfully uploaded his 2022 School Board Disclosure. After running unopposed in the re-election, he called the BOE and spoke to someone in the CF Department, not realizing he also needed to talk to someone in the PFD Department in regard to his other reports. Mr. Kent stated he has never filed any of his disclosures or reports late and asks the Ethics Board to waive his fine.

La. R.S. 42:1119B(2)(a)(iii) by September fifteenth of each school year, any school board member or superintendent whose immediate family member is employed by the school board shall file a disclosure statement with the Board of Ethics stating the facts of such employment. Any person who fails to timely file a disclosure statement under this Item may be assessed a late fee of fifty dollars per day, not to exceed one thousand five hundred dollars, subject to the provisions of R.S. 42:1157.
