RE:
Request that the Board waive a $420 campaign finance late fee assessed against Alex L. Suffrin, an unopposed candidate for Member of School Board, District 8, St. Charles Parish, in the November 8, 2022 election, whose 30-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 6 days late.
Facts:
Alex L. Suffrin requests a waiver and states the following:

On 10/10/2022, he contacted BOE at 9:04 am and was told he did not have to file the 30-P report, but he did not get the staff member's name. He later received a delinquency notice on 10/17/2022. Mr. Suffrin contacted BOE and was informed that he was required to file and immediately filed the report electronically. He notes that this stems from the $300 contribution received in 2018. Since then, there weren't any contributions or expenditures. He filed annual reports for 2018-2022 and a 2018 supplemental report covering the mentioned contribution. In his 16 years as a School Board member, this is his 1st time filing a report untimely with CF or PFD.
