Request that the Board waive the $280 campaign finance late fee assessed against Robert "Rob" Forshee, an unsuccessful candidate for Member of Plaquemines Parish Council, District 5, in the November 8, 2022 election, whose 10-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 7 days late. |
|
Robert Forshee requests a waiver and states the following:
It was his first time running for any public office. He did not have a campaign manager or anyone guiding him on regulations and filing timelines. He did not realize he missed the deadline. There wasn't much activity in his account and the reason the report was not filed on time. He has been living in Plaquemines Parish since 1962 and ran in hopes of making a difference. There was only one donation and all other campaign funds were from his personal funds. The campaign checking account is closed. He truly appreciates the review and states this was just an honest mistake on his part.
