Sonceria Brown Evans requests a waiver and states the following:
Her failure to file was based on her ignorance of the law, as she is a first-time candidate with no experience in the political arena. The packet she received didn't contain the filing scheduling requirements, and she assumed the report was due at the end of the election. Once informed of her monthly reporting requirements, she submitted a request for a Leaders account and filed her reports. In review of the law regarding late filing, she realized she may be fined a maximum of $2,000. She has only raised $1,700 in contributions and spent her own funds to support her campaign.
