Request that the Board waive a $200 campaign finance late fee assessed against Desmond Wallace, a successful candidate for Member of School Board, District 14, Calcasieu Parish, in the November 8, 2022 election, whose Special (48Hour) campaign finance disclosure report was filed 5 days late. |
|
Desmond Wallace requests a waiver and states the following: He did not intend to miss filing the required Special 48-hour report by 11/3/2022. Please know that throughout the reporting periods for both the 11/8/2022 and 12/10/2022 elections, he stayed in contact with BOE to ensure the correct reports were being filed. Upon receipt of the late fee notice, he immediately filed the report. It was an honest, unintentional oversight and he is begging for forgiveness.
