Request that the Board waive the $420 campaign finance late fees assessed against James "Jim" Mora, an unsuccessful candidate for Councilman, Metro District 9, East Baton Rouge Parish, in the November 3, 2020 election, whose 2021 Supplemental campaign finance disclosure report was filed 7 days late. |

Brittany Werling, report prepare for James "Jim" Mora, requests a waiver and states the following: She logged into the site around 6:00 am on 2/15/22 and completed the report at that time. She received the message that there were "no critical errors" thus making her believe that the report went through without issue. It was not until they received the notice 7 days later that they realized the report must not gone through- whether that be a glitch in the system or internet connection. She immediately logged on and did the same thing as did before, this time filing the report. She called the ethics office and spoke to staff who told her that she could indeed see that she had tried to log on and that the report was there the morning of 2/15. See attached e-mail from IT stating the report was completed on 2/15/2022 and submitted on 2/22/2022.
