Tempest Jackson has applied for the Housing Specialist 1 position
with the Patterson Housing Authority. Ms. Jackson's daughter-in-law serves as a member of the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, which is made up of five members appointed by the Mayor and City
Council. Ms. Jackson stated that her daughter-in-law should recuse
herself from voting to hire to her as a Housing Specialist for the Housing
Authority. Ms. Jackson asks whether there is a conflict of interest if she
were to be hired for the Housing Specialist position.
