Request that the Board waive the $480 campaign finance late fees assessed against Tyrin Truong, a successful candidate for Mayor, City of Bogalusa (Pop. 10,659), Washington Parish in the November 8, 2022 election, and his committee's chairperson, Kelvin D. May and treasurer, Katera Blackburn, whose 30-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 12 days late. |
|
Mr. Tyrin Truong requests a waiver and states the following:
Around the time the report was due, he was informed by a member of his campaign that the treasurer had stepped down. He worked diligently to locate a new treasurer but was unsuccessful in his attempt. He took on the responsibility himself. This resulted in him working to gather information to complete the report, spanning almost 8 months, as soon as possible. Mr. Truong would sincerely appreciate it if you would act upon this request favorably and waive the $480 late fee.
