Request that the Board waive the $1,400 campaign finance late fee assessed against Mike Francis, a successful candidate for Public Service Commissioner, District 4, in the November 8, 2022 election, whose 10-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 14 days late. |

Charles Abshire, with Broussard Poche, report preparer for Mike Francis requests a waiver and states the following: Mr. Francis was under the assumption that the report was not required to be filed due to the fact that he won the primary election and therefore was not participating in the general election. Upon receipt of the NOD in December of 2022, Mr. Francis made an effort to gather all information needed to file the 10-G report within the time frame given. They realize that the assumption mentioned above was an error in judgment.
