Request that the Board waive the $840 campaign finance late fee assessed against David Tatman, an unsuccessful candidate for Member of School Board, District 9, East Baton Rouge Parish in the November 8, 2022, whose Special (48 Hour) campaign finance disclosure report was filed 14 days late. |
|
David Tatman requests a waiver and states the following: There was no intent to deceive or circumvent the reporting. The issue directly relates to the timing of a deposit. The contributions had been received in a previous window and he noticed the reporting trigger of the deposit. He reported everything as he thought he should. Mr. Tatman acted immediately upon notice. The reporting is done "in-house" without finance professionals. He has always made every effort to follow the law completely.
