Waiver request submitted by Shalon Ray Latour, candidate for Public Service Commission / District 4 in the November 8, 2022 election, regarding a $2500 late fee assessed for filing her 2021 Tier 2 candidate pfd 96 days late. |
|
Shalon Latour states the reason the disclosure was late was due to a misunderstanding. For her 2019 election, she was told by a BOE representative to submit everything online. When the 2022 election came, she filled out all the items listed on the leader's online site. She contacted BOE to verify everything had been completed. Ms. Latour was not aware that the Tier 2 Candidate PFD was handled by a separate department and did not see it listed online. She apologizes for the document being late and she guarantees that this mistake will not happen again.
