Request that the Board waive the $2,800 campaign finance late fee assessed against NOLA Defenders for Equal Justice LLC, a political action committee, and its committee's chairperson, Kendall P. Green, whose 10-G campaign finance disclosure report for the November 13, 2021 election was filed 14 days late, respectively. |

Jared Miller, report preparer for NOLA Defenders for Equal Justice LLC, stated the following: NOLA Defenders is a small PAC, with no paid staff or advisors, limited financial resources and expenditures. Since its creation, the PAC participated in two recent elections in Orleans Parish. In the second of those elections, held in 2021, NOLA Defenders endorsed a single candidate for the Office of Sheriff. During that entire election, the PAC received small monthly online contributions from only two contributors, in the total amount of $825, and made only $219.61 in expenditures to two vendors. The volunteer responsible for the filing of the 10-G report is an attorney who was actively preparing for a murder trial during the period leading up to the filing of the l0-G report. As a result, the volunteer was not able to file the PAC's 10-G report in a timely manner.
