Request that the Board waive the $800 campaign finance late fee assessed against Harold Bodenheimer, Jr., an unsuccessful candidate for Councilman, District 5, City of Kenner, Jefferson Parish in the March 26, 2022 election, whose 30-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 20 days late. |
|
Harold Bodenheimer, Jr requests a waiver and states the following:
This is his first time ever qualifying and running for political office. He was confused with the candidate personal financial disclosure statement after qualifying. On January 28th, he opened a checking account in the amount of $10,000.00. He financed 90% of his campaign with his own personal retirement fund. He filled out a candidate's report once he opened the checking account, but failed to send it by the appropriate date. He filed all other reports timely. This late fee assessment of $800.00 would affect his monthly income tremendously after he paid the American Press in Baton Rouge, LA a total of $2,028.18for a campaign mailer that was received by voters in District 5 on Monday, March 28 and Tuesday, March 29, 2022, two days after the election day.
