Request that the Board waive a $480 and $520 for a total of $1,000 campaign finance late fees assessed against Sandra Bailey-Simmons, an unsuccessful candidate for Member of School Board, District H, Tangipahoa Parish, in the November 8, 2022, whose Special (48 Hours) campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 12 and 13 days late, respectively. |
|
Sandra Bailey-Simmons requests a waiver and states the following: The expenditure that was filed untimely was an in-kind contribution by her husband of $5,000 for Marketing and Design Services. Her husband managed that account and she was unaware that he made a payment. The donation was filed on her 10-G report. Ms. Simmons has been a school board member for 21 years and has never failed to submit a report. She is respectfully requesting a waiver of this late fee since it was an oversight.
