Request that the Board waive the $480 campaign finance late fee assessed against Wendy Williams Dupont, an unsuccessful candidate for Councilmen at Large, City of Bogalusa, Washington Parish in the November 8, 2022 election, whose 40-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 12 days late. |
|
Wendy Williams Dupont requests a waiver and states the following: She did not realize the report was delinquent until she received the NOD around 1/26/2023. She didn't see the e-mail either. The report was submitted by e-mail on 1/28/2023 to three separate e-mail addresses, to which she received no response stating that the report could not be submitted via e-mail. Since she didn't have a fax machine, the report was fax as soon as she was able to on 1/31/2023. Her campaign has available funds in the amount of $180.19. Ms. Williams would like to give her sincerest apology for this oversight and asks that the assessed late fee be reduced or waived. She realizes this is a serious matter that should have not been overlooked.
