Advisory opinion regarding whether the Code of Governmental Ethics ("Ethics Code") would prohibit a member of the Bogalusa Planning and Zoning Commission from also serving as a member of the State Democratic Party Central Committee and the Washington Parish Democratic Committee.
Facts:
Deborah McCloud has been appointed to the Bogalusa Planning and Zoning Commission. The Bogalusa Code of Ordinances state that a member of the Commission can not hold other public offices. Ms. McCloud stated that she is an elected member of both the State Democratic Party Central Committee and the Washington Parish Democratic Committee.
