RE:
Request that the Board waive the $60 campaign finance late fee assessed against Dwazendra J. "Dwa" Smith, a successful candidate for District Judge, 15th Judicial District Court, ES 1, Div. D, Acadia/Lafayette Parishes in the November 3, 2020 election, whose 2022 Supplemental campaign finance report was filed 1 day late.
Facts:
Dwazendra J. Smith requests a waiver and states:

She would like to sincerely apologize for filing her report a day late. She strives to follow the rules at all times, but on the due date of 2/15/2023, she had issues locating her login information. It was created and maintained by the previous treasurer who she was not in touch with. After locating the login information on 2/16/2023, the report was submitted. She has made sure that the information is now readily available so that future reports will be filed on time. She does not want this to negatively affect her chances to run in the future or be a hindrance to her candidacy. Ms. Smith would like to respectfully ask that you waive the $60 late fee and thank you for your consideration of this request.
