RE:
Request to waive the $1,500 late fee assessed against Mary-Patricia Wray for the late filing of the May 2023 Lobbying Expenditure Report.
Facts:
Ms. Wray states that like many others, she has sometimes failed to file and accrued a late fine in the amount of $50 or $100, in her more than ten years as a registered lobbyist and has never asked for a waiver for any reason. She states that she didn't realize that she failed to finalize the report and states that she originally tried to enter it in the month of June. It wasn't until she logged in at the end of July that she realized the report wasn't finalized.

Ms. Wray states that she attempted to file the report while traveling at the end of June, while in a remote location on a mobile device and thought she maintained internet access up until the moment of submission, but must have lost connection before its completion.

Staff Notes:As of 9/6/2023, the Lobbying Online system log in activity does not reflect a log in attempt between 5/26/2023 and 7/26/2023.
